Payment
-
Possibly, depending on your plan and what the purchase is for. AltPlay does not decide what your FSA or HSA will approve. We recommend checking with your plan administrator before using those funds.
-
We are working toward funding pathways that may allow eligible families to use Regional Center or other approved funding sources when available. Coverage depends on the funding source, your child’s plan, the service category, and required approvals. We’ll share clear instructions once those options are available.
-
We accept major credit and debit cards through our booking system. Additional payment methods may be added later.
-
Yes. You can request a receipt for memberships, open play visits, classes, or other eligible purchases. We can provide proof of payment, but we cannot guarantee reimbursement from insurance, FSA/HSA plans, Regional Center, or other funding sources.
AltPlay Policies & Safety
-
Yes. AltPlay is not a drop-off play space. A parent, guardian, or responsible adult must stay onsite and actively supervise their child during the full session.
-
It means staying close enough to see your child, support transitions, notice safety issues, and step in when needed. Our staff help monitor the space and support safe equipment use, but they are not childcare providers and do not replace caregiver supervision.
-
Please stay home if your child or anyone in your household is sick or showing symptoms that could spread to others. This includes fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, contagious rash, lice, pink eye, or any illness that may impact the health and comfort of other families. Families should be fever-free and symptom-improving for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before visiting.
-
Shoes are not allowed on the mats or play equipment.
Socks are recommended but not required. If shoes, braces, orthotics, or another support item are part of your child’s access needs, please check in with the front desk so we can make an accommodation.
-
Yes, but food and drinks must stay in the designated snack or seating area. No food, drinks, gum, or sticky snacks are allowed on the mats or equipment. Water bottles should stay off the play floor unless staff directs otherwise.
-
Please keep outside toys and personal play items at home or stored with your belongings. This helps prevent lost items, sharing conflicts, and extra clutter on the play floor. Comfort items, AAC devices, mobility supports, and sensory/regulation tools are always welcome.
-
You do not need to panic or apologize. Kids have hard moments. If your child needs a break, you’re welcome to move to a calmer area, step away from the activity, or ask staff for help. Our goal is to support safety and dignity while giving your child space to reset. If a child’s behavior becomes unsafe for themselves or others, staff may ask the family to pause play, move to a quieter area, or end the session early.
-
Yes. Some equipment will have specific weight, age, size, or use limits. Please follow posted signs and staff guidance.
-
Some equipment may be appropriate for adult participation, and some may be child-only. Please check posted signs or ask staff before using equipment. We want caregivers involved, but we also want the equipment used safely and within manufacturer limits.
-
Reserved spots are held for your family and removed from the schedule once booked. Missed sessions may not be refunded or rescheduled. Please double-check your schedule before confirming your booking.
-
Yes, but your session still ends at the scheduled time. Arriving late does not extend the session, since we need to protect the next group’s start time and cleaning/reset window.
